Masking tape

Ultratape low tack masking tape, 25mm x 25m roll

Ultratape low tack masking tape (25mm x 25m) is the one to reach for on artwork: weak enough to come off a watercolour wash, strong enough to hold your paper flat while you work. 3M General Purpose 101E is the decorator's tape, and value masking tape does the same job for less.

Gaffer tape

Ultratape black cloth gaffer tape, 50mm x 10m roll

Ultratape gaffer tape is 50mm x 10m black cloth tape. It tears by hand, sits matte under lights and leaves far less residue than duct tape.

Clear tape and invisible tape

Questions we get asked

What's the difference between masking tape and low tack masking tape?

Low tack uses a weaker adhesive, so it lifts off watercolour paper and finished work without damaging the surface. Ordinary masking tape grips harder, which suits decorating and labelling.

Is gaffer tape the same as duct tape?

No. Gaffer tape is cloth-backed with a matte finish and a gentler adhesive, so it tears by hand and leaves much less residue. Duct tape is shinier, stickier and harder to remove.

Do you sell washi tape?

Not at the moment. Our low tack masking tape does the same job, just without the patterns.
