ARTWAY have partnered with a selection of artisans in India to produce a number of fully handmade art supplies, including cotton rag paper & sketchbooks, as well as travel journals and a pencil wallet set. All of the art supplies in the Indigo range are handmade using traditional methods, creating a unique experience for each one owned.
The unique quality of Indigo is best found in our Cotton Rag paper favoured by watercolour artists and designed with painters in mind, each sheet features a completely natural surface / deckled edge. The surface is perfect for watercolour paints, and great for oil and acrylic paint although we strongly advise preparing the sheet with gesso first. Each sheet is acid-free and pH neutral.
This cotton rag paper is completely recycled and vegan. The production process is sustainable right from the start as it takes off-cuts from local clothing factories, which otherwise would be sent to landfill.
