Description

In our endeavour to provide more specialised papers, we bring you our first pastel paper pad. This version features six distinct colours of pastel paper, all included in one handy sketch pad. We also offer a pad with white pastel paper only should you prefer a more traditional option.

Made from high cotton content and cold-pressed, this Italian-made paper provides a quality surface for pastels. At 160gsm, the pastel paper is durable and has demonstrated excellent blending and layering qualities in our testing. The paper features a distinctive tooth, which picks up pigment remarkably well when you drag a pastel across the surface, achieving deeper, richer colours.

In addition to the quality of the pages themselves, the six colours expand your creative possibilities. The dyed pages reduce pastel consumption by providing a coloured base, allowing you to work more efficiently while exploring different tonal effects.

This paper for pastels comes in a gummed pad format. You can work directly in the sketchpad or tear out individual sheets when needed. For best results, fold the paper back and forth before tearing to ensure clean, easy removal.

Whilst primarily intended for soft pastels and oil pastels, the paper also accepts graphite, coloured pencil and charcoal, making it ideal for adding finishing touches or working on initial sketches.

At A4 size the pastel pad is convenient and portable, fitting easily in a rucksack or bag. Perfect for a student or travelling artist.

The pastel paper is PH neutral and archival quality.
