My name is Lily and I'm in Year 10 at Melksham Oak School. This week, I have been doing work experience at Artway. Working alongside Fran, I've been learning how to take and edit photos of products, to be suitable for the website and other platforms, such as social media. I've improved my skills in Photoshop and learned how to use Canva. We photographed my own artwork in a newly launched sketchbook, which we edited and shared on Instagram.

I've also learned about SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and writing product descriptions to include keywords, such as recycled, to make them easy to find when searching for a certain product online. 

Fran has also taught me about the different customer groups, such as wholesale/retail/education, and how best to market to these people.

I've really enjoyed using the products to showcase my own work then photographing and editing the images afterwards and learning about stock inventories. 

To summarise, I've had a great week learning lots of new stuff and seeing what it's like working in a creative business.
