The Artway Plastic Baren is a simple and versatile tool for printmaking activities.
Used extensively for applying pressure to the back of surfaces for relief or intaglio printing. This easy to hold device allows you to apply this pressure evenly and precisely so that the ground/paper can contact more thoroughly with the inked surface beneath. This ultimately results in better ink attachment and more consistent results across the printed area.
The looped handle helps with stabilising the tool whilst exerting the correct amount of pressure to the surface.
The dimpled face allows the tool to glide over the back of the printed surface without snagging. It also helps to pick out more delicate marks within your designs for greater clarity.
